A Great Time in Zimbabwe
Updated: Oct 1, 2022
In May 2022, FCCI had a wonderful event in Harare, Zimbabwe. There were so many highlights but let's try to pick out a few for you to enjoy. We give God the glory for His blessing on our time.
Our hosts were Apostle Patrick and Bishop Esther Mapfumo at their facility for Royal Impact Church in Glen Norah. We were graciously received and well taken care of.
While we were together, we recognized Apostle Priscilla Mgala as the FCCI elder in Malawi and then installed Bishop Esther to the same position in Zimbabwe. Both weill serve under the oversight of Bishop Levy Silindza in South Africa.
Bishop Silindza, Dr. Wenyika, Apostle Mgala, and Dr. Stanko were the conference speakers with the theme taken from Hebrews 12:22-24: "But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel."
On Saturday, May 14, we ordained 75 people to the work of the ministry God has called them to.
We recognized and prayed for the new FCCI church plant in Zimbabwe, Greater Life Church, under the leadership of Chamu and Christine Madongorere.
About 225 people were in attendance for the weekend, and they were elegantly served three meals along with a tea break. The food, hospitality, and fellowship were wonderful.
Our team members went on on Sunday to preach at various churches in the Harare area.
Leadership agreed to return for another leadership training session in 2023 with a bigger event in the planning stages for 2024.
Thank you for your prayers and thank You, Lord, for your grace that empowered us to have such a powerful gathering that encouraged and equipped so many.
