Visit to Malawi
Updated: Oct 1, 2022
In July 2022, executive director John Stanko had the opportunity to visit Apostle Priscilla

Mgala and the leadership team of Agape Life Church International in Blantyre, Malawi. The purpose of his visit was to become acquainted with the work and leadership there, and to conduct two days of leadership training.
When Dr. Stanko arrived on July 18, it marked the second anniversary of the passing of founding Apostle Augustine Mgala. Dr. Stanko visited the grave site to pay his respects and to lay a wreath on behalf of FCCI. Then it was time to go to work and the next day he met with the executive committed and bishops who had completed some personality assessments to help in the team-building process. Then leaders from all over the nation assembled that afternoon and for the next day to hear Dr. Stanko's presentation on "The Price of Leadership." Then Apostle Priscilla gave him the grand tour of the facilities and laid out the long-term plans for the property. Of course, each person present got a copy of FCCI's book, A Place Called Home: The FCCI Story.
Then Dr. Stanko was off to Uganda to visit Pastor Solomon Mwesige and his work at Good News Church, which will be the subject of another report. All in all, Dr. Stanko was encouraged by what he found in Malawi but also impressed with the work that is ahead for the team there as they continue to develop the ministry after the sudden passing of its founder.
